What is a Satellite Club?
Satellite Clubs are extensions of community sports clubs usually based within a secondary school or college and specifically target the 14-25 age group. Satellite clubs provide the step from school to community sport, which can often be too great and cause a lot to drop out of sport – Satellite clubs make it easy for young people to conitnue in sport or start playing for the first time. It is an initiative set up by Sport England and funding is available to community sports clubs who can facilitate a satellite club in their area.
History of the Chipping Campden After-School hockey club?
